No Dishwashers or Microwave: High heat, harsh detergents, and radiation damage the metals and melt the tin layer.

Care for Acidic Foods: The tin coating makes it safe for curds and tomatoes, but do not store food in the bowls overnight.

Outer Brass Polish: Clean only the outer yellow brass with a pitambari powder paste or lemon-salt mixture to restore its shine—keep acid off the inner tin.
