Description

Bring an elegant touch of Indian culinary heritage to your kitchen with this Pure Brass Saucepan. Combining artisanal craftsmanship with modern safety and utility, this versatile pan is available in two distinct sizes tailored for your daily cooking requirements.

Usage & Culinary Benefits

Best Uses

Daily Liquids: Perfect for boiling milk, brewing masala chai, or making filter coffee.

Sauces & Soups: Ideal for preparing continental sauces, reducing gravies, and simmering soups.

Small Batches: Excellent for cooking smaller portions of rice, boiling eggs, or making instant desserts like sheera.
Culinary Benefits

Rapid & Even Heating: Brass conducts heat incredibly fast, meaning milk boils quickly and liquids heat uniformly without scorching at the bottom.

100% Non-Toxic & Safe: The protective Kalai (tin lining) acts as a barrier, letting you safely boil milk or cook acidic recipes (like lemon tea or tomato sauces) with zero metallic taste.

Chemical-Free Non-Stick: Naturally Teflon-free. The smooth tin lining resists sticking, making it much easier to pour out milk or clean up sticky sauces.

Nutrient-Locking Lid: The matching brass lid seals in steam, trapping moisture and rich aromas to cook grains or steep tea perfectly.

Superior Heat Retention: The handcrafted hammered finish holds heat beautifully, keeping your tea or milk hot right at the table.

Durable Handling: The solid brass handle offers a heavy-duty, wobble-free grip, allowing you to lift and pour hot liquids with absolute confidence.

Care & Longevity Instructions

Cooking Care

Never Heat Empty: Always add milk, water, or oil before turning on the flame. Heating an empty pan will instantly melt the Kalai (tin) lining.

Use Low-to-Medium Heat: Brass heats up incredibly fast; high heat is unnecessary and can degrade the inner lining.

No Metal Spoons: Use only wooden or silicone spoons to prevent scratching the soft tin coating.

Don't Store Food: Transfer tea, milk, or sauces to a serving vessel immediately after cooking to protect the lining from wearing out.

Cleaning & Drying

Soft Sponge Only: Wash with a mild liquid soap and a soft sponge. Never use steel wool or harsh scrub pads.
Dry Immediately: Wipe the pan dry with a soft towel right after washing to prevent water stains and green oxidation.

3. Maintenance

Periodic Re-Tinning: The inner silver lining will naturally wear off over time. Get it re-tinned (Kalai) as soon as the golden brass begins to peek through.
Shiny Exterior: To clean the plain brass exterior, gently rub it with Tamarind Paste powder or a natural mix of lemon juice and salt, then rinse and dry thoroughly.

What makes this PCOKA Product Unique

Authentic Kalai (Tin) Lining: Raw brass reacts to sour or acidic ingredients (such as citrus, tomatoes, or curd). The interior of this saucepan is expertly treated with a traditional food-grade tin coating (Kalai), acting as a non-reactive barrier that makes it 100% safe for all types of cooking.

Premium Plain Finish: While traditional brass often features a hammered texture, this model boasts a minimalist, smooth plain finish. It offers a contemporary, brilliant golden luster that elevates the aesthetics of both modern and heritage kitchens.

Insulated Brass Handle: Brass is an incredible heat conductor. To ensure safe operation, the ergonomic long brass handle is specially engineered with a heat-resistant insulation barrier, remaining comfortably cool to the touch even when the contents are at a rolling boil.

Superior Heat Efficiency: Pure brass distributes heat exceptionally evenly and retains temperature far longer than stainless steel or aluminum. This uniform distribution cuts down cooking time and reduces energy consumption.

Stovetop Compatibility: Engineered for use on traditional gas stovetops, hot plates, and open flames. (Please note: Like all pure non-magnetic brass cookware, it is not directly induction-compatible without an interface disc).
