Care & Longevity Instructions

Proper care preserves the shiny finish of handcrafted copper and prevents unwanted reactions. Copper naturally oxidizes over time when exposed to air and moisture, developing a dark patina or green spots (copper carbonate), which is completely normal.

Daily Cleaning Routine

  • Hand Wash Only: Wash with warm water and mild liquid dish soap using a soft sponge.
  • Dry Immediately: Wipe thoroughly with a soft cloth or microfibre towel right after washing. Air-drying leaves permanent water spots.
  • Never Use a Dishwasher: Detergent chemicals and high heat will permanently discolor and ruin the copper finish.
  • Avoid Abrasives: Do not use steel wool, hard scrubbers, or harsh chemical cleaners, as they scratch the hand-hammered texture.
